Pictured are Sgt Jeffrey Sawyer, Deputy Darren Ladd, Deputy Shawn Burbidge and Sheriff Ronald Cary.  Missing from the photo are Deputy Lance Zaleski and Deputy David Orlando.  The four Madison County Sheriff Deputies were honored for their dedication to the STOP DWI enforcement.  This enforcement is funded in part by the Madison County STOP DWI coordinator.  This year's DWI Banquet was held at the New Beginnings Church in Wampsville on February 18, 2009. 

DWI Patrol Unit

Madison County Office of Sheriff has one (1) full-time deputy sheriff dedicated to STOP DWI enforcement.  This enforcement is funded in part by the Madison County STOP DWI coordinator.  This unit spends sixty-eight percent (68%) of patrol hours targeted to Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Ability Impaired and other alcohol related enforcement.  Thirty-two percent (32%) of the DWI unit’s activity is spent on patrol operations.
