DWI Patrol Unit
Madison County Office of Sheriff has one (1) full-time deputy sheriff dedicated to STOP DWI enforcement.This enforcement is funded in part by the Madison County STOP DWI coordinator.This unit spends sixty-eight percent (68%) of patrol hours targeted to Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Ability Impaired and other alcohol related enforcement.Thirty-two percent (32%) of the DWI unit’s activity is spent on patrol operations.
