Visiting hours for this facility are:

Wednesday – 12:30 – 15:30 / 18:00 – 20:00
Thursday – 12:30 – 15:30 / 18:00 – 20:00
Saturday – 12:30 – 15:30 / 18:00 – 20:00
Sunday – 12:30 – 15:30 / 18:00 – 20:00

Visitors must present government issue photo identification to visit an inmate.

Sundays are the only days that children under seven years of age will be allowed
in to visit and a parent or legal guardian must accompany them.

Money Drop Off

Cash or money orders may be dropped off at any time.  Funds will be deposited into the inmate’s commissary account.

Inmate Property

Listed items may only be dropped off Mondays from 8:00 to 11:00 AM and Tuesdays from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. 

Items not on this list will not be allowed in.

Visitors Dress Code  

Visitors must abide by the dress code or they will not be allowed in to visit:

No see-through clothing
No bare midriffs
No bare backs
No spagetti straps
No short shorts
No athletic shorts
No bathing suits
No layered clothing (only one shirt or pants)
No hooded sweatshirts
No hooded sweaters
No clothing with removable metal items (i.e. oversized, decorative, safety pins, metal brooches, etc.)
No jackets of any type
No hats
No bare feet

If in doubt, do not wear a questionable item of clothing.

Lockers are available in the lobby at a cost of 0.25 per locker to place pocketbook, coats etc.

VISITORS MUST HAVE GOVERNMENT ISSUE PHOTO IDENTIFICATION IN ORDER TO VISTIT AN INMATE

NO PHOTO IDENTIFICATION = NO VISIT

In addition to the dress code that will remain in force, all visitors are encouraged to remove excessive jewelry and large belt buckles, etc., prior to coming to our facility to visit.

We encourage family and friends to visit the inmates at the Madison County Jail, and we ask your patience and understanding.  These measures are necessary to ensure that our visiting room and our facility and all staff, inmates, and visitors remain safe.

Items which may not be worn into visiting include, but are not limited to:

outer wear and jackets, hats, hoodies, toys for children, snacks, drinks, key rings, purses, baby blankets (please dress your children warmly so they do not need a blanket).

Visiting rules:

We encourage family and friends to visit the inmates at the Madison County Jail, and we ask your patience and understanding.  These measures are necessary to ensure that our visiting room and our facility and all staff, inmates, and visitors remain safe.

Visitors must present government issue photo identification to visit an inmate.

No one under the age of 18 will be allowed to visit without an adult.

Proper identification, including for children will be required.  Photo ID is required for adults.

Identification for children may include the following:

Birth Certificates, insurance cards bearing their names, Social Services benefit cards, baptismal certificates, immunization records, school identification cards, passports, citizenship papers.
A determination on any other identification presented will be made by the Sheriff's Office staff at the time it is presented.

Up to two VISITORS per visit.  Visits will not be split among more than two visitors.  If two visitors share a visit, the visitors must go in at the same time.

Two children ages five and under may go into visiting with one adult.  Children over the age of five will count as one visitor.

There will be no special family visits on Sundays.  Children may visit, but must be accompanied by an adult.  Officers will ask the visitors to remove children who are disruptive.

Anyone who leaves a visit will not be allowed to return during that visit.

Metal detector:

All visitors must clear the metal detector immediately prior to entering the facility.

Any items which do not clear the metal detector will not be allowed into visiting.  An officer will use a hand wand to clear any items which cannot be removed.
